Hurricane Ida Update

10/14/2021 – We are excited to announce that the golf course is now open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays! Tee times will be available from 7:30-2:00 and the course will be cart path only. Carter Bar and Grill will not be reopening quite yet, but we will have grab-and-go sandwiches available for purchase along with our usual snacks. Oh- and we will have a full bar, of course! We are excited to see golfers return to Carter Plantation. Thank you for your patience while we repaired the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Ida. While we are working day and night to return to our full hours of operation, we are VERY excited to see everyone on the weekends!
9/17/2021 – Carter Plantation is still under construction after Hurricane Ida devastated south Louisiana. The storm caused over 200 trees to fall on the course and another 200 trees to fall in common areas. While we are working day and night to remove the debris, the course remains hazardous at this time. However, if we stay on our current schedule, we will have golfers playing again in October! We wish we could give a definite date for the course to open, but we are at the mercy of our contractors and the weather.

As you can see from the pictures, Ida’s winds caused significant damage to our facilities. Thanks to the efforts of our contractors, all of the events, such as tournaments and weddings, that are scheduled for the month of October and beyond will proceed as planned.

We will send out an email with tee times after we finalize a reopening date for the course. Please note that Carter Bar and Grill will have a different timeline than the course. Unfortunately our phone lines are tied to the internet, so our phones will remain down until the internet is restored. For the most up-to-date information, check our Facebook feed. Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you soon!
