Directions from Baton Rouge to Carter Plantation

Travel East on I-12.
Take Exit 32 Albany/Springfield. (Total distance from I-12 to Carter Plantation is 5.5 miles.)
Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Highway 43.
Continue traveling on Highway 43 for 2.7 miles.
At the end of Highway 43, turn left onto Highway 42.
Follow Highway 42 into the town of Springfield (1.1 miles).
Go straight through the red light located in the center of Springfield.
Go two blocks and turn right onto State Road 1038, also known as Carter Cemetery Road, which is next to the First Baptist Church.
Travel 1.5 miles. Carter Plantation is located at the end of Carter Cemetery Road. There are signs directing you to The Pavilion and the Carter House (Discovery Center and Real Estate Sales Office).
