…Carter Plantation is located near the historic town of Springfield, in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. The plantation is approximately one hour from New Orleans, thirty minutes from Baton Rouge, and fifteen minutes from Hammond.

The community can be reached from Interstate 55 via Exit 26 (Ponchatoula / Springfield), and from Interstate 12 via either Exit 32 (Albany / Springfield) or Exit 35 (Baptist / Pumpkin Center).
